Christian G. Chaussy Treated after 5 years of intensive pre-clinical and clinical research at the University of Munich on February 7th 1980 the first patient worldwide with ESWL. From 1984 – 1986 he was Professor of Urology and Head of the Stone Center at UCLA . He left this tenure position in 1986 to become Chairman of the Department of Urology Klinikum Harlaching in Munich. Professor Zoya Vinokur is an alumnae of New York City College of Technology. Professor Vinokur teaches Radiographic Procedures and Clinical Education. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Long Island University, C.W. Post, her Master of Science degree in Health Services Management and Policy from New School University and holds advanced certification in mammography. With over 20 years of professional and teaching experience she has taught a variety of courses in the medical imaging discipline including, Radiographic Procedures and Positioning, Pediatric Radiography, Advanced Medical Imaging II in a baccalaureate degree program, and Clinical Education. Professor Vinokur worked in major Metropolitan Hospitals in New York and New Jersey. She brings her extensive knowledge and background not only to the classroom but also to clinical settings. She is licensed to practice in both New York and New Jersey States. Professor Vinokur is a frequently invited speaker at professional conferences both locally and regionally. Her areas of concentration and interest include Teaching and Technology Challenges, Mammography, and Music Therapy. Burgess received a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia, where he served as an assistant professor from 1998-2000. He earned a Ph.D. degree in chemistry from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1997 and was a postdoctoral research associate in 1998 at Iowa State University’s Department of Energy – Ames Laboratory. He served on the faculty at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, as assistant professor and, most recently, as associate professor in the Department of Chemistry in the College of Arts and Sciences. In 2015, he was appointed chair of the Department of Medical, Laboratory, Imaging and Radiologic Sciences in the College of Allied Health Sciences at Augusta University. Burgess oversees three nationally accredited professional programs, including Clinical Laboratory Science, Nuclear Medicine Technology and Radiation Therapy and a rapidly growing research agenda that attracts significant extramural funding. He has research interests in the development of personalized patient diagnostics, including identifying a reliable predictor of children at risk for high cholesterol and cholesterol efflux as a diagnostic for cystic fibrosis.

Luis Moreno Sánchez, has graduated from the Universidad Central de Venezuela, Hospital Universitario de Caracas, subsequently performing a fellow-ship in Advanced Radiotherapy Techniques in the Hospital de Clinicas Caracas and the Hospital Universitario de Caracas, remaining the last five months of his residency in the radioncology service in the Hospital de Niños JM de Los Rios, at care of the radiation treatment of pediatric patients. He is assistant professor in the exclusive radiation oncology residence of Dominican Republic. Research interest include radiation oncology in brain tumors in adults and pediatric patients. Bogusław Maciejewski has completed his PhD at the age of 32 years and scientific title of a full professor in radiotherapy being 45 years old. He realized research projects in the UCLA Los Angeles, Gray Lab London, MGH Harvard Univ. Boston, MDACC Houston and other cancer centers in Europe. He was the director of Cancer Center – Institute Gliwice, Poland for 24 years, till 2015. He is author of over 200 papers published in reputed journals (IF = 1650, citation index = 3500). He awarded G.F. Fletcher Gold Medal, Gold Medal of Life Achievements in Oncology given by all European oncologic societies as he is a honorary member of American College of Radiology, radiotherapy expert of the IAEA in Vienna and for 10 years he was a member of European Board of Radiotherapy participating in the development European curriculum for radiotherapy. His major scientic interest is importance of treatment time and tumor repopulation and altered dose fractionation in clinical radiotherapy for human tumors.

Dr. Gary J Whitman is a tenured professor of radiology and radiation oncology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, where he serves as the medical director of the mobile mammography program. Dr. Vermorken served on the medical staff of oncology, at the University Hospital Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, and is Emeritus Professor of Oncology at the University of Antwerp and past head of the Department of Medical Oncology at the Antwerp University Hospital in Edegem, Belgium, where he still works as a consultant. Dr. Vermorken was principal investigator of the OncoVAX 8701 Phase IIIa clinical trial. Dr. Vermorken’s main field of interest is in gynecological oncology, and head and neck oncology. In addition, he coordinated large clinical trials in breast and colon cancer, including the OncoVAX’s Phase III trial (8701). His main research areas concern early clinical and pharmacological studies with new drugs, studies on the interaction of chemotherapy and radiation therapy, HPV in various malignancies and immunological approaches. Dr. Vermorken is a member of the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) Gynecological Cancer Group (GCG) and the EORTC Head and Neck Cancer Group (HNCG). Has finished his study at the Radiotechnical Faculty of the Technical University of Lviv (Ukraine) with the end of 1955 with graduation to “Diplomingeniueur” in 1960 which title was nostrificated in Austria in 1975. Dr. Wassil Nowicky became the very first scientist in the development of the anticancer protonic therapy and is the inventor of the preparation against cancer with a selective effect on basis of celandine alkaloids “NSC-631570”. He used the factor that cancer cells are more negative charged than normal cells and invented the Celandine alkaloid with a positive charge thanks to which it accumulates in cancer cells very fast.
